About Us

PTSD Woodwork & Crafts has specialized in hand-made and custom acrylic and wood pieces here in Plano, IL since 2019. Since I am a veteran, one of my many goals is to create handmade gifts for other veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders. I make unique gifts for loved ones for every occasion as well! Each item is carefully made with pride and great detail to ensure a durable, beautiful, long-lasting product. Wooden cutting boards, custom wood pens, wooden crosses, and wooden flags are among some of the few items that I offer. I’m looking forward to partnering with Plano and the Chicagoland area.

Don recently made an American Flag for my brain injured son-in-law who happens to be an Illinois State Trooper that was injured on the job when he was hit by a car. He has been in a coma going on 4 years now but occasionally has situational awareness. Don's work on this flag is amazing. It is crafted out of wood, but to look at it closely you can see the fine workmanship that went into it. It is a combination of artwork, a painting, a sculpture, and a wood craft all in one. The greatest thing about it, in my opinion, is the personalization Don incorporated into it. It has my son-in-law's name on it, his badge, and his badge number is crafted right into the wood as well as the Illinois State Trooper's logo. I also especially like that Don did not go with the red and white stripes that you see on a normal fabric flag. Instead, he went with the natural tone of the wood with alternating black striping which makes it "pop". Nice work Don!!!
